School of Art: Visual Stimulation at CEIBS

The China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) has been on a huge drive to make visual art a big part of their students’ landscape. Aside from having the campus itself designed by the architecture firm Pei Cobb Freed & Partners (yes, the Pei from I. M. Pei), the school has set aside 50 to 80 locations for exhibiting Chinese and international works of art. While not aiming to be an art gallery in any strict sense of the term, the CEIBS could end up being a real destination to see some art once their target is reached.
Spanish painter Laura Iniesta had the honor of creating the first piece of art for the initiative and Barcelona / Shanghai was unveiled last year for the school’s Spanish center. After the warm reception given to that first work, Iniesta set up shop on campus and created two more large-format murals to go on display on July 15. These, and subsequent works in the initiative, can be viewed when paying a visit to the CEIBS campus. Email Esta dirección de correo electrónico está protegida contra spambots.
