A través de la línea

Para este Abierto Valencia 2023, la Galería Alba Cabrera presenta «A través de la línea», una exposición individual del joven artista Jaume Cremades (Valencia, 1994).

Dice el psicólogo y escritor estadounidense Robert Greene: “El cerebro humano esta articulado para establecer relaciones entre los elementos que conforman su entorno, no para percibirlos como unidades independientes. Todo lo que vemos se condiciona entre sí, nada es y existe por sí mismo, nuestra percepción de las cosas es creada por asociaciones.”

A través de la línea recoge una selección de trabajos de Jaume Cremades que indaga sobre la faceta inconsciente del ser humano. El artista propone un lenguaje complejo, incierto y contradictorio que busca un aparente equilibrio entre los elementos que componen la obra, mediando entre ideas radicalmente opuestas que solo existen y sobreviven a través de su contraste.

La línea es la protagonista en la obra del artista, el uso reiterado de ésta conforma una abstracción basada en lo más elemental. Obras donde el contexto lo es todo, y las formas y colores aparentan ser algo que muta constantemente en función de lo que los envuelve. Sus pinturas remiten a las leyes de la naturaleza, en especial a las relativas a sus composiciones vegetales y al origen de las formas orgánicas configurando un itinerario plástico donde la obra progresa siguiendo las exigencias de la propia pintura.

Caos, incertidumbre y violencia como un conglomerado de tensiones que generan un poderoso efecto paradójico en el lienzo y el que lo observa. En estos espacios la analogía entre ver y sentir, verdad y sentimiento se entrecruzan como en un horror vacui olvidado en el tiempo.

Un ejercicio de contradicciones emocionales se aglutinan en esta exposición, donde la obra nos aporta información sobre la realidad, profunda y compleja, ahondando en una zona fluida y caótica por debajo de nuestro nivel de conciencia, en un lugar donde los opuestos se encuentran.

Everything we see is conditioned by each other, nothing is and exists by itself, our perception of things is created by associations.”

Through the line includes a selection of works by Jaume Cremades that investigate the unconscious facet of the human being. The artist proposes a complex, uncertain and contradictory language that seeks an apparent balance between the elements that make up the work, mediating between radically opposed ideas that only exist and survive through their contrast.

The line is the protagonist in the artist’s work, the repeated use of it creates an abstraction based on the most elemental. Artworks where context is everything, and shapes and colors appear to be something that constantly mutates depending on what surrounds them. His paintings refer to the laws of nature, especially those related to his vegetal compositions and the origin of organic forms, configuring a plastic itinerary where the work progresses following the demands of the painting itself.

Chaos, uncertainty and violence as a conglomerate of tensions that generate a powerful paradoxical effect on the canvas and in those who observe it. In these spaces the analogy between seeing and feeling, truth and feeling intersect as in an empty horror forgotten in time.

An exercise in emotional contradictions comes together in this exhibition, where the works provides us with information about reality, deep and complex, delving into a fluid and chaotic area below our level of consciousness, in a place where opposites meet.
